Established in 1983, PFEIFER Rope and Tackle provide lifting equipment, ropes and rigging services predominantly to the marine industry throughout the UK.

Additionally, our parent company in UK, PFEIFER Drako Ltd, Crewe, provides products and services predominatly to the crane and elevator industries.

With our large production facility in Southampton and comprehensive stocks of ropes and lifting equipment, our highly skilled and experienced team are able to provide a fast and efficient service for the supply and installation of ropes, plus the supply and testing of lifting equipment across most industry sectors.

The PFEIFER Group is audited by the german TUEV in a group matrix audit for ISO 9001, and has additional audits for special requirements.

History

1983

Rope and Tackle (Solent) Ltd was formed in 1983. Development of business focused on marine activities.

2002

The company was acquired by Pfeifer Drako Ltd, UK, a member of the PFEIFER group.

2003

Relocation close to Southampton dock area.

2005

Completion of the integration of the new management team.

2007

Change of the company name into PFEIFER Rope & Tackle Ltd.
